Cooling Skids
Over the years, our experiences with cooling pump systems has grown from those used to cool industrial electrical panels to cooling process equipment used in manufacturing processes, and now includes electric power generation. We only use the highest quality equipment to design unique, pre-engineered packages. Some examples include:
Cooling towers use “evaporative” heat rejection by allowing a small portion of the water being cooled to evaporate into a moving air stream. This increases cooling to the rest of the water stream. Cooling towers are often used to provide lower water temperatures than are achieved with other heat rejection devices, so they are more cost-effective and energy efficient.
- Plate and frame exchangers increase the surface area where the heat is transferred, thereby increasing the heat exchange rate.
- Chillers remove heat from a liquid with vapor compression or absorption refrigeration. The service liquid can then be circulated through a heat exchanger to cool air or equipment.
- Airflow radiators are used to keep equipment at the desired temperature, even under extreme conditions. The airflow speed through the radiator has the largest influence on the heat loss amount.
- Various pumps help keep air and water flow consistent.
The knowledge and expertise of Carbis’ design team is part of what sets us apart from other companies. We are more flexible and adaptable due to our use of cutting-edge technologies, so we can tailor any cooling pumping package system to accomplish your specific application.
